Youth Programs

At Southern Hills, we are devoted to serving the Lord and instilling His Word and values into our youth. In Romans 12:10-13, we are commanded to be devoted to one another in love. We are striving to create an environment that is loving and inspires our youth to be devoted in their love of the Lord and service to Him. Activities such as the Family Ski Retreat and Father/Son Lake trip are devoted to strengthening the bonds of our family units. Our service projects are devoted to assisting members of our church and our community.

Events such as Equip and Lads to Leaders are devoted to training our youth in ways to use their talents for the Lord. Bible Bowl and Bible Camp offer opportunities to learn more about what the Bible teaches in a fun and creative environment. Devotionals and retreats are devoted to instilling an element of spiritual maturity.

In addition to youth devotionals, service projects, regular activities, and lots of fun time for fellowship, our youth program offers the following:

EQUIP

A very challenging and unique training experience — a great way to kick off our calendar year.

Lads to Leaders

A training program for our youth that takes place at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. They learn to use their talents to serve the Lord while competing against 12,000 other Christian youth.

WCBC Bible Camp

Together with Concord Road and Millview, we spend a week at Western Kentucky Youth Camp studying the word of God.

Bible Bowl

Each year, we spend the summer in Cookeville, Tennessee, studying one specific book of the Bible. This is a great way to delve deeper into God’s Word.

KFC Programs

The Kids for Christ Program is designed to aid our younger students in growing closer to God and one another, and lay a Biblical foundation that will help carry them through adulthood. It encompasses 1st-5th grade with activities at least once a month. The program includes devotionals, service activities, fun activities, Bible Camp, holiday events, Kite Day, Trunk or Treat, and Fall Festival.
